Does anyone have any experience with an HP 1100d printer? I seem to have 2 problems with one. The first problem is that it doesn't seem to want to pick up a sheet of paper & feed it through. The second problem is that, if it does pick up paper & feed it through, it won't print anything on the paper. The manual says to peel the protective tape from the printhead before installing it. Since the printheads are used, I would assume the protective tape has already been removed. There is some sort of orange colored plastic over that area, but it certainly resists removal & does not appear to be the usual type of protective tape. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem of not picking up paper on my HP540. It was real easy to fix. I found the roller that picks up the paper and cleaned all the paper dust off of it. I also roughed it up for a better grip, sandpaper. It has worked fine. The roller on mine is the center one. sounds like there is tape over the ink jets. tom

Thanks! I'll try that. We've been out of town for Christmas, but are back now. I'll post results when I get done.

If the above suggestions do not help maybe you could bring it in to have someone from th club take a look at it. Either the whole printer or just the cartridge.. Was the printer working okay prior to this problem?
