This is a collection of little applications that make Windows run better. They were written by Microsoft programmers, although the company does not officially support them. In fact, Microsoft warns that it can't take responsibility for them.
Don't let that throw you off though. They do work well.
Microsoft's PowerToys for Windows XP include many great tools. For example, SyncToy will help you synchronize files and folders. The RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer is a must for photo buffs. Others include a better calculator, image resizer, slide show generator, tuner to make fonts clearer on your monitor and more.
