This evening an OTA (over-the-air) Android update was pushed to my wife's tablet. So Trudy, David, and whoever else has the same tab, be on the lookout. 4.2.2 will download automaticallt, but you'll need to give your permission for it to install. As always, ensure you battery is well-charged or you're on AC.
BTW, my Note 8.0 did NOT receive the update, yet.

Yup - my tablet downloaded it on Wednesday - but I didn't install until Thursday when I had a full charge. Tablet absolutely looks/feels/runs the same -- except that it terminated/deleted/lost the time & weather app I had on my opening screen. Easily replaced with another - and I'm happy.
I admit that I use the tablet mainly for sudoku and Facebook. The screen is just too small for email or ebay -- I do use both on the tablet, but do any further communication on my computer.
