A Western Digital external hard drive came with backup software called Retrospect. At first glance it doesn't seem particularly friendly. Does anyone know anythig about it -- plus or minus?

I use 2 types of backup software. 1. Acronis True Image for a complete disk image on another drive or partition. 2. Genie Backup Manager for incremental and other backups. I tried the Genie software as a result of the review here: www.backup-software-reviews.com/ and have been very pleased. It backs up in the common zip file format, so restores are a breeze. I became wary of the backup software included with windows, because of compatability issues. In other words, a restore required the exact version of the software that did the original backup! A newer version wouldn't work!

I read the review, but was wondering which version you purchased; the home version or the pro? Also 8.0 is out.
