I pickup an item that uses Bluetooth, Stick n Find item locator. It is a quarter (coin size) disk that will use Bluetooth to locate whatever it is attached to. The App is loaded to your phone or tablet and has various functions. However, it uses the new Bluetooth SMART standard. None of the devices in my house support this. The Ipod touch Gen 5, Iphone 5s, and certain tablets support this standard. A lot of the new Bluetooth heart monitors, scales and fitness trackers use this standard. So, if you are looking for a new tablet or phone you might want to keep this in mind.

Leo,
Can you share the blue tooth specifications? make model for others to review? Thanks for the input on different blue tooth standards, that should save some frustration on why something new is not functioning properly.

This is a site that lists the devices. www.bluetooth.com/Pages/Bluetooth-Smart-Devices-List.aspxI ended up returning the Sticknfind devices. I am not in the market to spend $400+ to get something that would work with the tags. I know I could get a smartphone that would work real cheap, but I don't do smartphones. Not until the data plans are $10 a month .
