I am looking at some cables to connect a tablet ( mini hdmi) to the GA overhead. Is this worthwhile?

Did you buy the cables?? If they work -- I think many of us could use them at club. We have many tablets -- and it would be nice if we could use them for demos.

What has Martin been using . . . as he has displayed his tablet screen at two prior meetings. In other words, what info can an actual user/tester add to this conversation? How well does the adapter (hdmi to vga) work and is any app required on the tablet as well?
This would be a plus for the club, as we have several "tablet" enthusiasts.

I can bring my collection of cables I have been using/testing. I have a set that I can connect via hard-wire that may be the solution to your quest.
I will have them at the November meeting. Part of my updating android depends on them functioning correctly...
As for the source of my cables, I have some from Best Buy, and some I ordered online. Time will tell which work the best.
I will say this, it makes for one heck of a large viewing screen... :-)
