One of the earliest uses of computers was desktop publishing. Using expensive and hard-to-learn software, people could publish flyers, newsletters, even newspapers.
So, if you have lots of ideas for printed materials and not much cash, try Scribus. This is a free, open-source program. It supports professional publishing features that would normally only come in pricey programs.
