I was very interested in getting rid of the notification for the Windows 10 Upgrade. I don't like the terms of service that tells you Microsoft owns your computer with Windows 10 and they will decide which programs, browsers, search engines, etc. should be on your machine. I definitely want to stay with Windows 7 as long as it is supported. Tonight I was trying out the instructions we got at the December 12 meeting on how to remove the Windows 10 Upgrade notification. I upgraded my Vista 64-bit machine to Windows 7 Professional on July 4, 2015.I found update KB3035583 was installed on 7/5/15 when I was doing all the updates after the upgrade, and also on Oct 23 and today on 12/18. I'll be checking my other Windows 7 machine soon because it has been online since 2010, and may have even more updates installed. Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3035583) Installation date: 7/5/2015 7:24 AM Installation status: Successful Update type: Recommended Install this update to resolve issues in Windows. For a complete listing of the issues that are included in this update, see the associated Microsoft Knowledge Base article for more information. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer. More information: support.microsoft.com/kb/3035583Help and Support: support.microsoft.comClicking on the link for more information (applies to all three updates) takes me to the same page - support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3035583. This page openly says it is to facilitate an upgrade to Windows 10 and even tells you the file sizes and names. My question is - Do I have to uninstall each of the 3 updates, or will uninstalling one get rid of the rest?
