OK everybodypay attention.
If you have went ahead and installed Internet Explorer 7.0, and why not since Microsoft keeps trying to dump it on us, and you notice that your pages are taking a lot longer to open, then pay attention to the following item.
Chances are following installation you received a pop up window asking you if you wanted to turn on the Phishing Filter to prevent you from giving me(actually the bad guys) your Ebay, Bank,...etc password. And being a good person, you said yes.
Now your pages seem to take longer to open...etc. Try turning off your Phishing filter. You should still be able to check whether the site is legit, OR NOT, via the small icon at the bottom of your window. Now I could tell you what it looks like, but then you wouldn't have any homework to do, so do a little studying and you can speed your pages a bunch. (GRIN)
Oh yes, for those of you who insist on leaving it on, try more ram. Actually try lots more RAM? It seems to work OK on systems having at least 1 gig. No, I don't know why, I just know that it seems to work OK on systems with lots of RAM. So if your system has 512 or less, try turning off the Phishing filter except when you need it. Better yet, take a look at some of the other browsers. They won't offer you the security, but they are faster most times.
Again, you're welcome Captain Shrinkwrap
